Fuel Spills in First Nations Territories: The FNHA Environmental Health Perspective

This session will look at how FNHA Environmental Health Officers and Managers participated and supported communities during two marine fuel spills. We will explore how First Nations communities along the coast can be significantly impacted by fuel spills, how environmental public health gets pushed beyond its traditional boundaries of commercial food, water, and sewage, and the successes and challenges in the current landscape of health and environmental spills.
