Position: Director, Environmental Public Health, Interior Health
Biography: Courtney joined Interior Health in 2005 as an Environmental Health Officer and worked in the Kelowna, Salmon Arm and Vernon Offices. In 2007, she jumped at the opportunity to join the new IH Communicable Disease Unit and enjoyed being able to be involved in the development of a program from the ground up. In 2009, she returned to the Environmental Health Program as a Team Leader and in 2013 became the program manager. This past summer, she took on the role of Director of Environmental Public Health at Interior Health. Her current portfolio includes Environmental Health, Drinking Water, Emergency Management and Environmental Management.
Courtney is committed to lifelong learning and has completed a Graduate Certificate in Public Health Leadership and a Graduate Certificate in Public Health Strategic Communications. She is currently working on a Master’s in Business Administration through Thompson Rivers University.
