Position: Food Safety Specialist, BC Center for Disease Control
Biography: After graduating from UBC in Food Microbiology, Lynn Wilcott began his “food safety” career at Dairyland Foods working in several different quality and food safety positions. In 1990, he transitioned into public health by taking the position of dairy plant specialist with the BC Ministry of Health. This position evolved into a dairy, meat and fish specialist and then later evolved again into a food safety specialist with the BC Center for Disease Control. He has thoroughly enjoyed spending most of his career in food safety and public health. He is looking forward to retirement- climbing some more mountains and spending more time with his family.
